Q. We need to reinforce an area of grass for vehicle use, but which one should we use?

Q. We have an area of grass which is used as a regular overflow parking lot that gets muddy and rutted every winter or when it rains. Which products are suitable to protect the grass from this damage?

A. BodPave™ 85 porous pavers offer the highest reinforcement for grass surfaces or gravel surfaces and require a sub-base construction. If the grass is level, solid and well drained then GrassProtecta™ maybe the answer. It is important to allow the grass to grow through the mesh before use. Please contact us to discuss your requirement as soil conditions, the application and frequency of use all affect which product we would suggest.

Q. Do I need a geotextile when installing BodPave™ 85?

A. A geotextile fabric should be installed to seperate the soil or sand blinding layer from the angular stone sub-base. The geotextile allows water transitions but limits soil particle transmission.
